The project was implemented as a turnkey project with full compliance to project budget, functionality and schedule goals.
A complete management system for solar power plant maintenance and operation, implemented by the Israeli company GIV, was presented at the international conference of INFOR. The conference was held a few days ago in Geneva and was attended by over 200 people from 20 countries.
The project went live within 7 months and the system is already operational for several months. The contract was signed in June last year and the system was launched at the end of December 2018.
"The conference addresses issues related to strategy, innovation and digital change of asset management best practices, cloud, mobility, and forecast”, said Meir Givon, GIV's CEO, a gold partner of INFOR.
"One of the biggest challenges each company faces is determining the most effective way to prioritize resources to support the organization's tasks, including ensuring safety, and striving to be proactive rather than responsive," Givon said.
The conference was held at CERN, the particle accelerator, a pilgrimage location due to its in-depth use of Infor EAM platform for management, operation and maintenance, including safety and calibration management at the largest machine in the world - the particle accelerator in Switzerland.
"When Negev Energy was established, we researched for a maintenance management system, and the solution provided by GIV over Infor EAM enabled us to receive a holistic solution for managing the operations and tasks of the power plant", said Shai Levy, vice president of logistics for Negev Energy, who presented the project at the conference.
Levy added that "the system is operational for four months and manages all processes and all activities at a very detailed level." Levy reviewed the active modules of the system, which include, among others asset management, equipment, maintenance, HR and more.
